Who would not jump at the chance to buy their back to school supply or painting materials at a 110 years old art supply store in the East Village? Jean Michel Basquiat did, Keith Haring and Andy Warhol did, as do countless others. The shop was opened in 1905 by Benjamin Steinberg, a native Russian. Now it is run by Benjamin's grandson Steven Steinberg and great-grandson Doug Steinberg.
The super friendly and expert staff will help you find pretty much anything in this Art Empire that stretches over 3 Floors ( plus there is a huge warehouse around the corner.....).
