The Sweet Life is definitely one of my favorite stores on the Lower East Side!! Here I can get my fix on German and Dutch Liquorice which is hard to find in New York.
Otherwise they have everything from dried fruits to chocolates as well as honey and candy from all over the world. The sweet Life has been on the corner of Hester Street and Ludlow Street since 1982.
Oh Gudrun - your photo journal site is gorgeous. These candy pictures are so sweet, I'm afraid I'm having cavities just looking at them. Love, love, love.
